The house is located in a private neighborhood located 8 minutes from the city of Rosario traveling on the highway that connects it with the city of Córdoba.
The lot measures 30.69 meters wide x 29.66 meters deep. The front is oriented to the North, from where the best sunlight comes, and the bottom, oriented to the South, receives the strongest winds and storms.
At the time the project was carried out, the weather conditions had to be carefully attended to, since the neighborhood was located on an immense plain, practically open, and with almost no trees to provide shade and protect from the wind.
The aforementioned conditions of the site immediately determined that the construction be located at the bottom of the land to take advantage of the best sunlight from the North and that the South facade and this are "practically blind" walls that protect from strong winds and storms and provide more privacy with respect to neighboring lots.
In addition, it was decided to raise the house about 45 cm from the ground, which prevents possible flooding of the site.
The program was that of a small summer house, which in turn has a large space that functions as a dining room, living room, barbecue area for meetings and eventually a bedroom. The grill sector had to work both for the preparation of meals on the fathoms and also for meetings of friends while preparing the barbecue.
The architectural "idea" could be summed up in the implantation of a rigid cube on the ground, which through plastic manipulation, resolves the conditions of the site and generates intermediate spaces (neither open nor closed), where the inhabitant feels "refuge" in the interior of a "cube" and in turn, visually and spatially connected with the exterior.
The shape and implantation of the pool gives "movement" to the orthogonal composition of the "cube" and incorporates the element "water" both to the exterior landscape and to the interior space of the house. This pool “hugs” the house, generating different situations that accompany the sun's path during the day.
